The only country that the Limpopo actually flows through is Mozambique. It is formed on the border between South Africa and Botswana, by the confluence of the Marico and Crocodile rivers. Its first stretch defines part of the border between South Africa and Botswana; next it forms the entire border between South Africa and Zimbabwe, before flowing through Mozambique and into the Indian Ocean.
